Jewish Weddings & Bar Mitvahs
If you have found yourself on this page, you will know that Jewish Weddings & Bat/Bar Mitzvahs tend to run slightly differently to some other weddings, and don’t worry, so do we!
The White Keys have been performing at Jewish Weddings & Bar Mitzvahs since 2009, and we are incredibly proud to say that they now make up close to 50% of our year. These are the parties we look forward to the most, and it is always a real joy to see our music fuelling some of the things we have seen out on the dance-floor (or of course ceiling in some instances!).
We are a mixed band of Jewish & Non–Jewish musicians but with over 7 years experience, every single one of us knows how important the traditional Israeli elements are to your day.
Our singers all perform in Hebrew and it is entirely up to you whether you would like both male and female vocalists on stage for the Simcha set – we find that many are happy for a mixed bunch these days, but of course if your event is slightly more orthodox we are more than happy to split the band up accordingly. You can check out the kind of music we perform by clicking on the “Jewish’ tab here.
We can perform the National Anthems (with or without singers) and provide live music for your chuppah and reception.
Additionally, we can also help you source a Chazzan if your Rabbi is not leading the ceremony songs. We have come across some truly wonderful vocalists in the past and it would be a pleasure to send them your way.
Hypothetically – If you started your evening at 18:00, a typical Jewish Wedding with The White Keys would generally run like this:
15:30 – 17:30 – Band Arrival, Set Up & Soundcheck
18:00 – 18:20 – Bride & Groom Entrance. Simcha With The Band
18:20 – 18:45 – Starters Served
18:45 – 19:00 – Dancing with the full band
19:00 – 19:05 – Toasts To The Queen & Kingdom of Israel
19:05 – 19:45 – Main Course (Optional Live Dinner Performance)
19:45 – 20:00 – Dancing With The Band
20:00 – 20:30 – Speeches
20:30 – 21:00 – First Dance & Band Set 1
21:00 – 21:30 – Desserts, Coffee & Benching
21:30 – 22:55 – Final Band Set
22:55 – 23:00 – Bride & Groom Finale & Thank-Yous
We know that no two events ever run the same so are more than flexible when fitting to your schedule. Please let us know your ideas, and what you think you might need, and we will be happy to assist and suggest. Get in touch on form to the right and we will get straight back to you!
